This functionality is available in other note apps, as well as plenty of to-do list apps, but it’s usually a paid feature, while Google offers it for free.

This means that you can receive a reminder to collect your dry cleaning when you are near the store, or prompt yourself to ask about your child’s homework when picking up at school, thus saving you from having to take a separate trip, or having to make an extra phone call or send an email .
