full time: The Sounders rushed into the playoff center with a 4-0 win over the Vancouver Whitecaps on Tuesday. Raul Ruídias scored a brace, while Nicolas Lodeiro and Alex Roldan added one goal each.

Cody Cropper saved Monteiro’s shot well, but he managed to control the rebounding ball and then it was dropped.

Lodeiro calmly finished off his successful 16th penalty in a row, making a 20-21 career at the Sounders.

The Sounders have been particularly dominant in recent years, entering this match with an undefeated 14-game winning streak against the Whitecaps as they went 6-0-1 at Lumen Field. The White Caps last beat the Sounders anywhere on April 14, 2017 at PC Place and the last time they beat the Sounders was on March 19, 2016.
